10 Chic And Stylish Winter Hats For Women

1. Lack Of Color Wool Fedora Hat

You probably already know I’m a huge fan of wool fedora hats for the winter season. And this wool Fedora hat by Lack of Color is one of my favorites! This hat exists in different colors: black, white, or dark green. Those vintage-inspired classic hats in pure Australian wool features a tall triangle crown trimmed with velvet. Wool fedora hats are inspired by vintage menswear styles and are one hat style that anyone can wear. Indeed, this hat style compliments any face shape and is available in various brim sizes. When choosing the color of your hat, make sure it ties into the tone of your coat.

2. H&M Bucket Hat

The bucket hat from the 90s’ is back! After runway debuts at Fendi and Loewe, the winter-ready bucket hat took over the streets. And this season, the 90s trend has continued to gain momentum. I really love this winter bucket hat from H&M with a houndstooth pattern. I really think the winter bucket hat is one of the cutest and coziest accessories of the season.

3. Janessa Leone Cotta Wool Fedora

I’m in love with this ha, the color is really stunning! This Janessa Leone’s wool fedora hat is one of my favorites hats for the winter season. Janessa Leone’s ‘Cotta’ hat will add a detailed touch to your winter outfit. Made from rich brown wool, it’s fitted with a suede band and a structured silhouette. The molded dome and wide brim will protect you from harsh light while browsing through the city. Composition: 100% wool.

4. Brixton Joanna Wool Felt Fedora

I love this Brixton’s Joanna Wool Fedora hat in color mauve! This elegant wide-brim hat with a simple grosgrain band is subtle and minimal in design, while still making a defined statement. This color would be amazing paired with a light grey or beige long wool coat. It’s one of those hats you throw on to finish your outfit ready to receive countless compliments all day long. Composition: 100% wool. This hat exists in black as well.

5. Gigi Burris Drake Asymmetric Velour Felt Hat

Gigi Burris’s asymmetric velour hat is absolutely stunning! And I think it’s a great investment. Gigi Burris’s eponymous label puts a twist on classic silhouettes and traditional techniques. This ‘Drake’ hat is hand-blocked into a signature asymmetric silhouette from supple velour felt surrounded by the metal-detailed tonal grosgrain ribbon. I would recommend to pair it with a wool coat of the same color and sumptuous knits for a cozy-chic look. Composition: velour felt.

6. Brixton Fiddler Fisherman Cap

I love this Brixton fisherman cap! I think it’s the perfect statement hat to pair with a more classic outfit. The “fisherman cap” or “baker boy hat” is similar to the flat cap, only the body of the hat has a more rounded shape and is paneled with a top button. The fisherman cap is a very stylish hat, as long as you know how to wear it without looking like a boat captain, or the old man in the sea. Parisians usually pair it with a belted wool blazer (or short belted wool coat), a pair of straight or slim jeans, and ankle boots. If you prefer more luxurious hats I love Eugenia Kim’s Sabrina wool-felt cap and Ruslan Baginskiy’s wool baker boy cap.

7. Maison Michel Virginie Wool-felt Fedora

Maison Michel’s Virginie fedora is one of the most recognizable hats – the asymmetrically sculpted crown is designed to fit and suit every head shape. This hat is made from luxe rabbit felt with a grosgrain ribbon that is adorned with the label’s logo in the form of a glossy black charm. Finished with a subtly asymmetrical crease at the crown, this exquisitely crafted piece will elevate any outfit with a chic attitude. This hat is handmade and crafted by artisans in the brand’s Spanish workshop. If Maison Michel is too pricey for you I’ll recommend Helen Kaminski’s wide brim wool fedora and Lack of color’s Benson wool fedora.

8. Halogen Wool Blend Beret

Even if the beret is one of the biggest French fashion clichés, it’s one of my favorite hats to wear in the winter season. And this Halogen beret made of a soft felted-wool blend is perfect to add a dose of playful Parisian style to any look. To avoid the French fashion cliché I’ll recommend a grey or camel wool beret instead of a red one. If you’re not sure how to properly wear a beret like a Parisian here are a few tips. Basically, try to pull your beret over your head, slightly to the side, but let a few hairs come out of your hat. Also, another best way to wear your beret when you have a fringe is to position it slightly behind. I’ll write a complete article on this topic in the future.

9. Madewell Merino Ribbed Beanie

This Madewell beanie made of plush ribbed merino wool is the perfect hat for the winter season: warm, chic, and it goes with everything. I really love this hat; the color, the texture, and the look! It’s a cozy hug for your head. The ribbed-knit beanie has earned its place as a winter style staple for everyone from downtown urbanites to alpine skiers. Parisians might prefer sleek styles in a neutral color palette like black and speckled gray.

10. H&M Cashmere Headband

If you consider yourself not a hat person, you can still wear this beautiful H&M cashmere headband when the temperature drops below freezing. Keeping your head warm is just as important as keeping the rest of your body warm during these cold winter months. My French tip is to make sure the color of your headband ties into the tone of your coat. This H&M cashmere headband exists in dark grey as well. Composition: cashmere 100%.
