A boho-chic breeze is sweeping through French and Parisian fashion this autumn/winter, and I’m absolutely delighted by it! Normally, my style leans more towards preppy, workwear, and minimalist looks, but over the past few months, I’ve been gathering and incorporating some boho-chic pieces into my wardrobe that I love for this season.
I had a personal revelation during the presentation of Chloé’s pre-fall 2024 collection, which I mentioned here a few months ago. I was captivated by the flowing, loose tops and dresses adorned with ruffles or lace, as well as the beautiful interplay of materials and textures. The leather trenches and capes, the boots and thigh-highs with a musketeer-inspired flair, and the layering of large, charm-like necklaces were stunning. I also adored the soft satchel-like bags, the high-waisted wide-leg trousers inspired by the ’70s, the chain belts, and the models’ long, effortlessly natural hair. It all felt so refreshing!
A few months ago, I wondered if I could find boho-chic-inspired pieces that would easily pair with the more minimalist, structured items already in my wardrobe. After some research, reflection, and experimentation, I’ve discovered ten boho-chic pieces that you, too, can effortlessly adopt for a Parisian-boho-chic look. I’m truly excited to share the pieces below! Some are already in my wardrobe, while others are still patiently waiting on my wishlist ;). I think they’re perfect for everyday wear—super comfortable, effortlessly relaxed, yet always chic.

1. The White/Beige Wool Coat
Inspired by Isabel Marant’s fall/winter 2024 collection, I find this style of coat incredibly chic for winter! It looks stunning as part of a monochrome white outfit or paired with other shades like camel, burgundy, khaki, brown, or even black. This season, go for the Isabel Marant Efezia coat, or, for a more accessible option, the limited edition Ba&sh Koala coat. If you’re petite, the iconic Sézane James coat in the color sand is a great choice!
2. The Cape
Inspired by the trench coats and cape coats from Chloé, this is the coat style I want to invest in this autumn/winter! I’ve got my eye on this beautiful double-faced wool hooded cape from Gérard Darel, which is currently sitting on my wishlist.
3. The Shearling Vest
A faux-fur or shearling vest is the perfect boho-inspired layer for winter! Wear it over a lightweight turtleneck sweater, a basic long-sleeve tee, or a flowing bohemian dress. Consider the gorgeous Humphrey vest. The Parisian brand Antik Batik also offers a wide range of vests this winter.
4. The Knit Maxi Dress
Though I rarely wear dresses, I absolutely love this style for autumn/winter! This trend was also spotted at Chanel during Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025, with a white/beige version paired with a chain belt at the hips and suede knee-high boots. Go for a slightly fitted knit maxi dress that flatters your curves without being too much, like the lovely Erine dress from Sézane or the Armia dress from Ba&sh.
5. 70s-Inspired Jeans
As seen in Chloé’s pre-fall 2024 collection, I love these 70s-inspired jeans! This season, go for the Anna flared monogram jeans from Gérard Darel, which also come in a corduroy version (another alternative is this J.Crew wide-leg corduroy trouser). Gérard Darel runs small, so I recommend sizing up from your usual size.
6. The Suede Jacket
The suede jacket is truly the standout piece for this autumn! Wear it over a basic white tee, whether short or long-sleeved or a lightweight knit sweater with a crew or turtleneck. It’s such a versatile wardrobe staple that you can easily wear every day. This season, my favorite is the Terry suede jacket from Sézane (set up an alert for restocks!) with its cropped, lady jacket-inspired style and beautiful gold buttons.
7. The Shearling Coat
The shearling coat is my absolute favorite for the season. Last year, I invested in a short shearling coat from Ba&sh (quite similar to the new Sézane’s Calixte coat), and I’m obsessed! It’s the warmer version of the suede jacket, perfect for cold, dry winter days. This type of coat can be quite pricey, but it’s definitely worth the investment!
8. The Soft Bag
The trend for soft, unstructured bags (as opposed to boxy, rigid styles) has been seen in recent collections from Chanel and Chloé. I love this kind of bag—roomy and effortlessly chic, it can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody. You could go for the iconic Gérard Darel Le 24H bag or the Chanel 22 bag (if, like me, you’re not a fan of large logos, you can wear it reversed—something I’ve seen more and more in the streets of Paris and Bordeaux). For a more accessible alternative with the same vibe, consider the June bag from Ba&sh or the Amaïa bag from Balzac Paris.
9. The Suede Knee-High Boots
For a boho-chic Parisian look, there’s no footwear more iconic than a pair of suede knee-high boots or leather ankle boots. They’re perfect for pairing with a knit maxi dress, a long skirt, or even pants and jeans. The key is to choose a versatile style that can be worn with a variety of outfits, like the Isabel Marant Lapio boots or the Molly and Bridget knee-high boots from Sézane.
10. The Chain Belt
I love this belt style, which was seen on the runways at Chanel and Chloé this year. It looks fantastic over a knit maxi dress or with ’70s-inspired wide-leg jeans or corduroy pants. It’s the small detail that adds a chic touch to a boho ensemble :). Go for a jewelry-like belt such as this one from Sandro or the Brooke belt from Ba&sh, which resembles a Chanel chain strap.
