1. The sequin dress

The sequin dress (or “la robe à paillette”) is the perfect dress to wear to a New Year’s Eve party. There is something very glamorous about the sequin dress that recalls the Disco era in the 1970s or the Roaring Twenties.

This season, I’m in love with this gorgeous Sézane Syana dress and this fabulous Borgo De Nor silver sequinned dress. Wear it with this pair of Sézane black polka dot tights and these Gianvito Rossi Mary Jane pumps.

2. The velvet blazer

Nothing captures the holiday spirit quite like a beautiful black velvet blazer! And if the cornerstone of every chic wardrobe is a black velvet blazer, Saint Laurent’s velvet style is definitely a must-have. Consider opting for a slim fit with a silk lining and padded shoulders like this Saint Laurent Satin-trimmed velvet blazer. Style yours with this Sézane Elyes Blouse, these Gustavo trousers, and these Gianvito Rossi Mary Jane pumps.

3. The sequin skirt

Transform your New Year’s Eve look with a hypnotizing sequin skirt like this absolutely luxurious Valentino sequined tulle maxi skirt (which is a piece of art). Wear yours with this Frankie Shop white cotton-poplin shirt and these Sézane Alice heel pumps.

4. The LBD

The little black dress (also known as “la petite robe noire”) is the basic that French women wear for any special occasion and even for New Year’s Eve.

The perfect little black dress is the one you can wear in any special circumstances and with which you are most comfortable. For more formal events, I do love LBD from the Parisian brands Maje and Sandro. And this season, I particularly adore this Maje Reville black pleated lace dress. Style it with these Sézane black polka dot tights and these Gianvito Rossi Mary Jane pumps.

5. The sequin pants

This holiday season, sequin pants will add instant sophistication to any festive outfit! I just love this gorgeous Isabel Marant silver sequined crepe leggings. Style them with a classic white shirt or this Sézane Elyes Blouse. Add a classic black cashmere coat and a pair of Manolo Blahnik slingback pumps.

  • I am a big fan of the Little Black Dress for all occasions but these sequin pants just blew me away. I think a little change will be in order this New Year!

  • Bonsoir
They all look beautiful but would be nice to see something for the more mature woman and of a larger size.
