Here are the seven best French tinted moisturizers for glowing skin. Whether labeled as a CC or BB cream, skin tint, or tinted sunscreen, a tinted moisturizer is a formula that perfectly blends makeup and skincare to cover imperfections, enhance your complexion, boost hydration, and give you a healthy glow. It’s the perfect makeup product to achieve that light and flawless French girl makeup look.
And despite their sheer-to-medium lightweight coverage, tinted moisturizers can be used by all skin types, even those oily to acne-prone. Indeed, after applying your tint, treat your areas of concern (acne or dark spots) with a concealer (I love the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer). Also, you can set your makeup with a loose or pressed powder (I love the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder) to prevent excess shine.
So if you want to add this multipurpose product that checks all the beauty boxes to your beauty routine, here are the seven best tinted moisturizers from the best French makeup brands.
I independently select all products featured on Leonce Chenal. If you buy something through my links, I may earn an affiliate commission, at no cost to you. I only recommend products I genuinely love.
1. For All Skin Types: Erborian BB Cream
This BB Cream from the French-Korean beauty brand Erborian is one of the best tinted moisturizers I’ve tried! Enriched with ginseng, licorice, and ginger, this tinted moisturizer has a medium, buildable coverage with a velvety, ultra-soft matte finish. It combines skincare and coverage for moisturized skin and a perfect complexion! This tinted moisturizer contains SPF 20.
2. With SPF: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 is one of my favorite tinted moisturizers of all time! The lightweight, moisturizing formula adds a soft hint of color that evens and enhances skin without hiding it. Enriched with hyaluronic acid that hydrates and softens fine and dry lines and with SPF30, vitamins C and E help protect skin from the damaging effects of the environment. Ideal for all skin types.
3. For Combination Skin: Sisley Paris Phyto-Teint Nude
Sisley Paris Phyto-Teint Nude is one of my absolute favorite tinted moisturizers! This second-skin oil-free skincare foundation blends perfectly with the skin, providing a bare-skin feel, an undetectable finish, and very light coverage. Skin is hydrated, plump, and smooth, and small imperfections are blurred.
4. For Oily Skin: Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer is a tinted moisturizer that provides demi-matte, sheer coverage, instantly giving skin a soft-focus effect while covering pores and helping blur fine lines. Infused with oil-absorbing powders, its texture never leaves skin greasy or unbalanced and stays color-true throughout the day. It’s the perfect tinted moisturizer for oily to acne-prone skin types!
5. For Mature Skin: Dior Capture Dreamskin SPF 50
Dior Capture Dreamskin SPF 50 blurs imperfections and helps minimize visible signs of aging, leaving skin looking flawless. It features an updated formula that provides increased hydration (perfect for mature skins). Upon application, its luxurious texture perfectly fuses with the skin to unify in transparency and improve the appearance of redness, shine, and pores.
6. For Dry Skin: Sisley Paris Phyto-Hydra Teint
Sisley Phyto-Hydra Teint is a tinted moisturizer that combines the effectiveness of daily skincare with a veil of color. The formula is enriched with White Lily extract that moisturizes and brings comfort to the skin, while a fruity cocktail of plant-based extracts refines skin texture for smooth skin. The very light texture melts into the skin for a natural, perfecting result and a bare-skin effect.
7. For Dull Skin: Erborian CC Cream
Erborian CC Cream is a color-correcting cream that enhances natural radiance, blurs the appearance of pores and imperfections, and evens out skin tone for a flawless-looking complexion with light coverage. The formula contains encapsulated pigments that transform to match your skin tone when blended for a radiant complexion. No wonder it’s a best-seller in France! This product contains SPF 25.

I needed this info. Thank you dear ❤️
Thank you Vesna ❤️
Laura mercier is my top pick moisturizing brand… thanks for endorsing 🙂
Me too! Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer is one of my favorites 🙂
These products are beautiful, but sadly none of these brands are Cruelty Free.
Thank you Paulet for your comment! You have 2 cruelty-free tinted moisturizers on this list: either the Erborian BB or CC cream. FYI, Erborian does not test on animals, but Erborian is owned by L’Occitane, a company that is not cruelty-free. I wish French beauty brands would be all cruelty-free!
I just started writing when I realized the above comment answered my question. More and more people are concerned with finding cruelty free products. Would you consider including information about those companies?
Thank you Serena for your comment! Yes, I’ll try to include information about those companies as much as I can.
I love the erborian cc eyecream!
Would you use the tinted moisturiser in adittion to regular cream or instead of it?
Bonjour Kertu and thank you very much for your comment! Yes, I always use a tinted moisturizer in addition to a moisturizer and eye cream 🙂
Have a lovely day, xo
Bon jour! I fell in love with the Chanel CC cream with SPF 50. I tried the Dior Capture Dreamskin and did like the way it applied. I highly recommend the Chanel one that I use! LOVE it!
Bonjour Kris, thank you for your feedback on the Chanel CC cream with SPF 50; this is very helpful! I’m really curious about trying this one now 😉
