What I’m Gifting My Loved Ones for Christmas This Year

If you’re feeling stuck on Christmas gift ideas and still don’t know what to get your loved ones this year (despite all my gift guides, which you can find here ;), I thought I’d share what I’ve personally bought for my family this year. Let’s face it—finding the perfect gift can be tricky. So, instead of opting for a single gift or pre-made gift set for each person, I decided to create personalized bundles by filling beautiful pouches and vanity cases with little treasures and surprises! You’ll find the full list of items I purchased at the end of this article.

I chose this makeup bag, this jewelry case, this flat pouch, and this toiletry bag, all in a stunning navy blue velvet with vintage floral embroidery from Sézane—I’m absolutely in love with them! Each pouch will be filled with a mix of thoughtful, handpicked goodies (and I must credit my partner for this fantastic idea!).

Inside the jewelry case, I will add this lovely pair of gold-plated earrings with glass beads. If you like this style, I also recommend this Roma bracelet, which is equally charming and affordable. For the other vanity cases and pouches, I bought two makeup sets from Violette_FR (currently on sale): the Iconique Lip Trio and the Bisou Blush Duo. To complement these, I also bought this Holiday Edition set of 5 miniature candles from Diptyque, a bag of papillotes (French traditional chocolate treats) from the iconic Parisian chocolatier À la Mère de Famille, and some fragrant, luxurious soaps from Roger & Gallet.

Once everything arrives, I’ll curate each pouch or bag with a selection of these items, tailoring them to fit perfectly. Each recipient will receive a beautiful pouch filled with papillotes, jewelry or makeup, mini candles, and scented soaps (which will delicately perfume the pouches).

For the men, I kept things a bit simpler. For one, I chose this cozy fleece jacket in a rich burgundy color from Octobre Editions (Sézane’s men’s line). My partner bought the same jacket in forest green a few years ago, and it’s one of his winter favorites. For another family member, I ordered this delicious box of chocolates from À la Mère de Famille. And for someone else, I opted for this Paris tea gift set from the Parisian tea brand Mariage Frères.

These are small but thoughtful gifts. When you’re celebrating Christmas with a large family, costs can quickly add up—especially if you’re traveling too! Creating curated pouches has been a fun and cost-effective way to make everyone feel special without overspending. I hope these ideas inspire you for your own holiday gifting! If you have any creative or budget-friendly ideas, I’d love to hear them—share your tips in the comments below :). À la prochaine!
