Last week, Paris hosted the Haute Couture Fashion Week from June 24th to 27th, and it was an absolute delight! Some shows were truly spectacular, especially Chanel’s Haute Couture collection presented at Palais Garnier, which I covered in my last blog post. But honestly, the real magic of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week isn’t just on the runways—it’s in the streets of this beautiful city. Fashion truly comes to life among the cobblestones and les térrasses des cafés (café terraces).

This season, even though the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are still a month away, they were definitely on everyone’s minds at Haute Couture Fashion Week. You could spot subtle Olympic vibes everywhere, with guests rocking gold and silver touches and toga-like draping. And, of course, those classic Parisian pieces were out in full force: Mary Janes, checked tweed jackets with matching mini skirts, pearl-embellished bags, chic ecru cropped jackets (I just bought this stunning Sandro tweed jacket on sale!), and a variety of dresses—maxi boho-chic, long strapless minimalist, embroidered, or midi in a lovely red or white with feather trim—you name it.
