Here are 10 chic French winter outfits spotted at Paris haute couture fashion week. On January 23, the Paris haute couture fashion week kicked off with several Maisons such as Dior, Schiaparelli, Giambattista Valli, and Chanel showcasing their couture spring/summer 2023 collections. Beyond the shows themselves, what I love the most during fashion week is looking at what those attending the shows are wearing. And after spending time scrolling through IG, I’ve scouted ten chic French outfits, each of which you can easily re-create for yourselves this winter.
These ensembles feature pieces that are easy to style and could actually be re-created using items that might already be in your wardrobe. Also, if you’re interested in trying something fresh this season, you can shop the inspired picks I’ve added for each outfit. So from monochromatic ensembles of beiges and browns to all-black and denim outfits, keep scrolling to get inspired by these minimalist chic street style looks from Paris haute couture week.

1. Midi Skirt + Equestrian-inspired Boots
It’s a very chic winter outfit and I actually love these boots! If you want to re-create this look I found these gorgeous Porte & Paire Glossed-leather knee boots, these Khaite Wooster leather knee boots, or these Legres Model 80 leather knee boots. The Dior wool boater hat adds instant sophistication to the overall look.
2. Black Suit Jacket + Beige Midi Skirt
Again, this is a very chic look for winter! I absolutely adore her fabulous Dior black suit jacket paired with a cream/beige midi skirt and (Dior?) slingback shoes (which look like Roger Vivier buckle pumps).
3. All-Denim + Shearling Jacket
This is a casual chic winter look you can easily re-create! Just pair this Acne denim shirt with these straight-leg jeans and add this classic navy blue turtleneck underneath. Wear your favorite ankle boots and add this gorgeous shearling jacket from Totême.
4. Black Wool Coat + Combat Boots
Both of these women look really great! I love how the woman on the right styles her very long oversize coat. I have a preference for the woman on the left who is wearing a gorgeous long wool black coat (like this The Row Malika belted wool-blend felt coat) paired with combat boots (I love these See by Chloé Mallory boots) and a mini Lady Dior bag black ultramatte. Très chic!
5. Bomber Jacket + Jeans
This is a very boyish, androgyne look which I absolutely adore! To re-create this outfit you just need to pair wide-leg jeans with a bomber jacket (see this stunning Givenchy cropped wool bomber jacket) and a cashmere sweater underneath. Add your favorite ankle boots (mine are Chloé’s Susanna studded leather ankle boots) for a very Parisian masculin-féminin look.
6. Herringbone Wool Coat + Leather Pants
I adore this outfit! Leather pants is not an easy piece to wear everyday and I love the way she styles it here. Paired with an oversize herringbone wool coat (like this Nili Lotan belted coat) and a classic cream cashmere sweater, leather pants (like this Agolde leather-blend straight-leg pants) became sophisticated.
7. Shearling Coat + 70s Style Boots
This look is very boho chic, Isabel Marant-ish! I love how this gorgeous woman is styling here shearling coat (I love this fabulous Maje shearling ecru coat) with a pair of 70s style knee-high boots (see these Souliers Martinez Chueca leather ankle boots) and a Chanel flap bag.
8. Long Camel Coat + Brown Wrap
I just adore the way she wears her wrap over her long double-breasted camel coat! Also, these Bordeaux leather gloves add instant sophistication to the look. By the way, if you’re looking for the perfect pair of leather gloves, the French Maison Agnelle is your go-to brand.
9. Tweed Suit + Knee-High Boots
I love this casual chic outfit which is perfect to wear in the winter season! The classicism of the black and beige tweed suit (which is stunning) is balanced by these more casual knee-high boots. These boots remind me of Chloé’s Mallo leather knee-high boots, which I really adore! These are the kind of silhouette you’ll wear over and over again.
10. All-Black Outfit
This is one of my favorite French winter outfits to wear for a chic dinner or a glamorous soirée. This look is just perfect in its simplicity! To re-create this look pair your favorite black/dark gray midi skirt with a long black double-breasted wool coat (have you seen this fabulous Saint Laurent double-breasted silk-trimmed wool coat?). Add a pair of J’Adior slingback pumps or Roger Vivier Viv’ In The City slingback pumps and voilà!
