Inside My French Beauty Cabinet – Winter Edition

This blog post has been highly requested, so here it is :)! Today, I’m sharing all the beauty products I absolutely love and use during these colder months. I’ve focused solely on skincare for this post, but I’ll share an update on my haircare routine in a separate post soon. Since I’ve been growing out my hair for a few months now, I’ve significantly upgraded my haircare routine and discovered some amazing French gems along the way. But I won’t spoil it for you just yet ;)!

For now, let’s dive into the skincare products I’ve tested, loved, and highly recommend if you’re on the hunt for new additions to your winter skincare routine. If you prefer a quick summary, I’ve listed my favorite products below. For those who’d like to know more about my thoughts on each product and how I incorporate them into my routine, just scroll down for all the details!

As you’ll notice, my skincare routine is fairly minimalist ;). I have a particular skin type: combination skin with occasional blemishes and the first signs of aging. Finding products that work for adult combination skin—treating imperfections while providing enough hydration to address fine lines and expression wrinkles—can be challenging. But I think I’ve finally found the perfect combo: using cleansers, exfoliants, and a serum specifically designed for adult combination skin with imperfections, paired with gentler moisturizers suitable for all skin types. Here’s a closer look at my top 5 beauty favorites and why I love them.

1. SVR Sebiaclear Serum

This is an excellent serum for adults with acne-prone skin, even sensitive types! It’s both anti-blemish and anti-wrinkle. I’ve been using this Sebiaclear Serum for a few weeks, morning and evening, right after the Sebiaclear Micro-Peel, and I can truly see a difference—my skin is much clearer and smoother. If you have a similar skin type to mine, I can’t recommend this duo enough. In fact, the entire Sebiaclear range is fantastic!

2. Violette_FR C’est la Cream

I adore this cream, which I use during the day, paired with the Boum-Boum Milk in the evening for extra hydration. It leaves my skin plump and hydrated without feeling greasy. It also gives my complexion a healthy glow, and I don’t notice any shine by the end of the day. Plus, it works beautifully as a makeup base! I highly recommend this duo.

3. SVR Topialyse Micellar Oil Wash

I love the body cleansers from SVR (a French pharmacy brand a friend recently introduced me to, and I’m now obsessed!). This micellar oil cleanser works wonderfully and smells divine! I love its versatility—it can be used as a shower gel, bubble bath, shampoo, intimate wash, face and hand cleanser, and even an in-shower makeup remover. It’s such an incredible product! If, like me, you’re obsessed with shower oils in winter, I also recommend the almond shower oil from L’Occitane. I’m addicted to its scent! However, it’s a little less foamy than the one from SVR.

4. Diptyque Velvet Hand Lotion

One of my favorite hand creams for winter—its fragrance is absolutely exquisite! I pair this velvet hand lotion with the softening hand wash and exfoliating hand wash from Diptyque, which are staples in my bathroom (I love that these products are refillable!). When I’m out and about or traveling, I enjoy using hand creams from L’Occitane, with my favorite being the almond-scented one. If your hands are extremely dry and chapped from the cold, I highly recommend the shea butter version—it’s a bit more heavy-duty.

5. L’Occitane Milk Concentrate

I absolutely love this L’Occitane body cream—it smells divine, with notes of almond and vanilla, making it a wonderfully comforting fragrance for winter! I often struggle with body creams because I find many of them too rich or greasy, leaving a residue on my skin and making me worry about staining my clothes. That’s why I adore this one—it absorbs instantly and has a texture more like a lotion than a heavy butter. My skin feels softer, hydrated, and completely free of any sticky or greasy residue.

Finally, if you’re looking for soft, comforting scents for winter, I highly recommend one of my favorite perfumes: Fleur de Peau by Diptyque (musks, powdery iris and fruity, ambery ambrette seeds). And for a different vibe, their Eau des Sens scented soap is fantastic—it leaves a delicate orange blossom fragrance on my skin and in my bathroom ;)!
