Autumn has officially arrived here in Bordeaux, with gray skies and a cool 17°C (62.6°F) today. It’s the perfect excuse to pull out our favorite fall jackets, or if you don’t have one yet, to shop for those classic French and Parisian styles that might be missing from your wardrobe. This season, a few jackets have really caught my eye, and I’ve even added some to my wishlist! To make your shopping easier, I’ve put together a little selection (because I know you love those!) of chic jackets that are just right for this unpredictable autumn weather.

- J.Crew Isabelle lady jacket in plaid English wool — I’m absolutely in love with this jacket (which also comes in white)! Try it with a classic white tee or a burgundy turtleneck, wide-leg jeans (I love these from Massimo Dutti or Rosaé Paris), and finish with flats. My top picks? These Albane loafers in burgundy or the Vibi Venezia velvet slippers in strawberry. So chic!
- Sézane Terry jacket — I have a coup de coeur for this stunning suede jacket with its gold buttons! It looks amazing paired with a beige turtleneck and the Dune skirt in strawberry. Add some equestrian-style boots (like this gorgeous pair from Massimo Dutti), and you’re all set! Très chic, non?
- Totême wool & cashmere-blend coat — This is a beautiful update to Totême’s iconic Signature coat. Made with a blend of wool and cashmere, the color and that oversized collar are just gorgeous.
- J.Crew long Barn jacket™ in plaid — This plaid Barn jacket is effortlessly chic! It’s a great alternative to a trench coat, especially on rainy days. I’d style it with a crisp white or blue shirt, straight-leg jeans, and equestrian-style boots. Oh, and don’t forget this made-in-France umbrella in beige for the full look!
- Anine Bing Luca jacket — If you’re looking for a more classic, shorter jacket, this is the one! Made from a wool and cashmere blend, its relaxed fit and classic camel color make it the perfect go-to for fall.
- Gerard Darel Ludmilla double-face wool hooded cape — I’ve been on the lookout for a chic cape, and I think I’ve found it! Style it with a turtleneck, jeans, riding boots, and a wool fedora. Et voilà!

Bonjour Leonce – Comment ce va ??
I love the Boucle jacket with the jeans – even although I am in my late 60s and Disabled I love this idea so I am going to ‘steal’ it………and I have the Timeless Trenchcoat in the same colour.
Merci beaucoup
Bonjour Denise – ça va très bien, merci!
