7 Easy Spring Outfits French Women Always Wear

The article I shared last week (What French Women Wear in Early Spring) inspired me deeply. This week, I wanted to take the idea a little further and offer seven effortless French spring outfit formulas, all of which you can recreate using pieces you likely already own. The intention of this piece is, above all, to inspire. Perhaps these silhouettes will simply help you rediscover what is already in your wardrobe… or, who knows, encourage you to add one beautiful new piece :).

So, what should we wear this season?

  • A beautifully tailored overcoat, the perfect piece for the end of winter, and a welcome change from the coat worn for so many months.
  • A touch of red, perhaps. A suede or wool jacket, or even a pair of shoes that instantly awakens an entire silhouette.
  • A pair of ballet flats, a trend that has returned with quiet strength since last year. My personal favorite: a soft, delicate shade, almost powdered.
  • A pastel yellow sweater, luminous enough to brighten the still-grey mornings at winter’s end.
  • A suede jacket, worn as a mid-season layer or in a light shearling style, an endlessly chic piece for spring.
  • And of course, the timeless trench coat. Long or short, fitted or softly flared, it is the coat we reach for again as soon as the air begins, gently, to soften.

If this approach resonates with you, Les Édits Privés extend the promise each week: a French nine-piece capsule, a true editorial, and thoughtfully composed silhouettes so that you always know what to wear, without ever overthinking it, the French way.

And if you are searching for the perfect mid-season coat, I will share a dedicated article here on Léonce Chenal next week. I have already spotted many beautiful options, each as chic as the next.
