Dear Léonce

Dear Léonce

Woman Reading by a Paper-Bell Shade. Henry Robert Morland, 1730–1797.

From time to time, readers slip me the most thoughtful questions: about the cut of a blazer, the drape of leather trousers, or the small rituals that make up a French day. I read them all, with care.

Rather than answering in haste, I gather them quietly, let them rest, and reply in a considered way, through occasional editions published in Les Conversation. A collective conversation, composed slowly, so that every question finds its answer without ever naming its source.

If you’d like to know when your note is chosen, I invite you to join the newsletter. Each reply, along with seasonal edits and private reflections, will find its way to your inbox, like a sealed envelope arriving at just the right time.

The Correspondence

Reflections on style, beauty, and the art of living well, composed to be read, kept, and returned to.
