I’m spending my Christmas holidays at home in the French Alps, in Haute-Savoie, and I couldn’t be more excited! For me, the holiday season means snow, cold weather, mountains, skiing, and, of course, raclette and fondue (yes, I’m a cheese lover through and through!).

While some of the more famous resorts like Courchevel, Megève, or Les 3 Vallées are incredibly popular during the winter season, I prefer smaller resorts with charming villages, traditional wooden chalets, and rustic lodges that have managed to preserve their authentic Alpine character — places like La Clusaz or Morzine.
