Spring is finally here, and it’s time to update your wardrobe with some fresh and chic styles! However, since spring is a transitional season, it can be challenging to figure out what outfits to wear. Whether you’re looking to revamp your entire spring wardrobe or just add a few new pieces to your collection, I’m here to help ;). Indeed, in today’s post, I’ve put together a French spring capsule wardrobe consisting of a few essential pieces that are versatile enough to mix and match for both casual and elevated looks.
For this year’s capsule wardrobe, I decided to switch things up and go for a more neutral color scheme, opting for beiges and whites instead of my usual black, navy blue, and stripes. These colors are perfect for creating effortlessly chic and soft looks that are less “strict” than black or navy blue. The white shades complement a variety of colors (think red, camel, brown, grey, or light blue), making them a versatile choice for any outfit. I drew inspiration from the latest Paris Fashion Week street style FW24, which showcased many cream and camel looks. As a result, you can expect to see a lot of whites in this year’s spring capsule! I hope you’ll love it.
PS: I recently realized that I tend to wear only a few pieces from my wardrobe each season, so I have decided to narrow down the usual 24-item French capsule wardrobe to only about ten pieces. My goal is not only to help you create a stylish capsule wardrobe but also to provide you with fashion inspiration on how to wear the clothes you already own and provide guidance on the latest trends. Bon shopping!

Bonjour! I’m Léonce, the founder of Léonce Chenal, a blog dedicated to French fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I’m French, and I'm originally from a small town near Annecy. I launched Léonce Chenal in 2018 while working as a data analyst in London to share my love of effortless French style. After living in Paris, London, and Amsterdam, I’ve now settled in the beautiful city of Bordeaux. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me baking pâtisseries, exploring hidden museums, or searching for the perfect perfume. I hope this space brings a touch of beauté to your everyday life!
You’ve selected some lovely pieces, a nice change from the usual color palette. I wonder, however, how this particular blouse would fit under the jackets recommended considering the fullness of the sleeves and the fabric weight of the blouse. ???
Bonjour Cindy, thank you for your kind words! The blouse in question is made of cotton poplin, which is great for layering. For oversized shirts like this, I typically opt for a size down to ensure they fit comfortably under a blazer. I hope you find this tip useful :)!
I love your column beautiful French clothes , I would love to visit Paris one day. I love everything French. Thank you for the lovely clothes I love getting inspiration for Spring and Summer.
