French pharmacy beauty products are coveted by everyone (from models to backstage experts), make-up artists or beauty editors alike. And there is a reason why.
French pharmacy beauty products are rightly famed for its effective formulas (most of them are dermatologically tested) and for its affordable prices. Where to buy French Pharmacy beauty products?
If you’re going soon to Paris
All French pharmacies in Paris offer a full and affordable range of beauty products, but be aware that prices might change depending on where you go. The two best French pharmacies in Paris are Citypharma, 26 rue du Four 75006 Paris or La Grande Pharmacie de Bailly next to St Lazare train station. These two French pharmacies are well known for its low prices and its large range of brands they offer. Make sure to have a list ready, and be prepared to queue.
If you’re living in London
Even if some French pharmacy brands are available at Boots (La Roche Posay, Vichy, and Avene), the choice is limited when you live in London. You can still order online at La Grande Pharmacie de Bailly, even if there is no translation available (only in French), they ship everywhere! Also, I recently discover Escentual, this website provides a large range of French Pharmacy brands like Bioderma, Darphin, Decleor, Embryolisse, Klorane etc.

Micellar water is the cornerstone of any French women’s skincare regimen. Micellar water is made up of cleansing micelle particles (tiny oil particles) suspended in soft water which draw make-up (even waterproof), sebum and impurities from the skin without the need for harsh chemicals. Perfect for everyday cleansing, micellar water is super gentle with even the most sensitive skin, it cleanses and removes make-up from the face and the eyes efficiently, and soothes irritated skins. Here are my best French pharmacy micellar waters that I’ve tested.
Bioderma Crealine H2O is the cult French pharmacy beauty product, a staple backstage at Fashion Week as well as in every respectable Parisian’s bathroom cabinet. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, it removes make-up while maintaining the skin’s balance (soap-free, physiological pH).

French Pharmacy offers a full range of high-end and affordable eye creams, and for all skin concerns. But first, you need to decide what you want an eye cream to do, do you want it to smooth wrinkles, to depuff bags and minimize circles, or all of the above plus hydrating? The secret is in finding the eye cream that really delivers on the specific issues you want to address.
If you want to protect and hydrate the eye contour area, I’ll recommend using the Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream. Rich in Avene Thermal Spring Water and alpha-bisabolol, this light emulsion calms skin irritation, tightness, and redness. Specially formulated for hypersensitive eyelids, it relieves and hydrates the eye contour area and gives your skin a wonderful feeling of lightness.
If you want an eye cream to depuff bags and minimize circles, go for the Darphin Dark Circles Relief and De-puffing Eye Serum. This high-end serum soothes and renews fatigued eyes (with puffiness and dark circles), and restores a more even well-rested appearance to the eye area. It soothes, refreshes, diminishes the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, softens and brightens the eye contour area. Apply this serum before using your daily/night eye cream.
Repeated eyelid movements and environmental factors may cause the emergence of premature wrinkles around your eyes. In order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines from the eye area, I’ll recommend using the Lierac Diopticreme Wrinkle Repair Cream. This anti-wrinkle eye cream enriched with botanical extracts reduces the appearance of soft lines and wrinkles around the eyes and helps increase overall skin firmness and elasticity. It hydrates the eye contours and gives a youthful appearance around the eyes.
If you’re looking for the perfect eye cream to do all of the above, go for the Clinique All About Eyes. There is a reason why it’s a best seller: it diminishes the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, soften fine lines and wrinkles and helps hold eye makeup in place. This lightweight eye cream is quickly absorbed while soothing and smoothing eye area. It’s the perfect all-in-one eye treatment.
Finally, in French Pharmacy you will find specific treatments for the eye area, to be used once/twice a week specially designed to smooth, refresh and revitalize the eye contour area. One of my favorites French pharmacy eye treatments is the Klorane Smoothing & Relaxing Eye Patches. Specially formulated for sensitive eyes, Klorane soothing eye care enriched in cornflower extract, reduces puffiness and decrease signs of tiredness caused by lack of sleep.
In the same range, you can use the Dr. Hauschka Eye Revive a soothing herbal solution that reduces the appearance of puffiness from the eye contour area. Enriched with eyebright, fennel, chamomile extracts and black tea toner, this eye treatment revitalizes and refreshes the eye area and offers a cooling refreshment for tired eyes.
